Week of March 6th, San Diego Housing Market

This week in the San Diego Housing Market.

NEW Listings 371 UP from 204

Price Change 173 slightly up from 162

SOLD 324 up from 276 UP

PENDING SALES 315 down from 343

There were 1,682 home sales in January, CoreLogic reported Tuesday, which was the lowest ever recorded in data going back to 1988

Unlike other times when the real estate market shifted — like the Great Recession — people aren’t losing their homes due to unemployment. Instead, looking to hold on to lower interest rates, today’s homeowners are staying put — dropping the number of homes for sale to almost their lowest level in three years.

Meanwhile, rising interest rates are making what homes are available unaffordable for many buyers.
